2008 Summer Calendar of Events
Throughout
the year, the brothers welcome people to share their prayer services.
Evening Prayer
is at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Holy Eucharist is celebrated Tuesday through Friday at 6:15 p.m.,
Saturdays at noon, and on Sundays at 8:30 a.m.
All are welcome to be our guests at these services.
The friary
is also available throughout the year for individuals to make private
retreats.
The usual requested donation is $55 per night per person. We have special
rates for groups.

June 21: Franciscan Day of Reflection - Music Music Music.
Saturday. 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Br. Tom Carey facilitates this workship. We'll sing, we'll chant and we'll pray and play while doing it! Ever sing Gregorian Chant? Then you haven't lived! Ever have music lift you into the lower levels of Heaven itself? Come to our Musical Day of Reflection and try it out! Please RSVP 631-473-0553. $25 donation requested, no one turned away for lack of funds.
June 21: Radio Free Religion. Original music, original worship with Br. Tom Carey
Saturday. 7:00 p.m. Join us for a potluck before the service. This month's theme: Memory
June 22: Violin and Piano Recital.
Sunday. 3:00 p.m. A Tribute to the Society of St. Francis. John Michael Fox, violin, and Bobbie Boulware, piano. This program will feature Richard Strauss' Sonata for Violina and Piano, Gershwin-Heifetz' Three Preludes, and the Khachaturian Violin Concerto.

Each year we invite our enquirers to a week at Little Portion to live alongside the brothers to see how we live. Each canditate will live and work with us to help discern his Franciscan Vocation. For more information or to RSVP call 631-473-0553.
